This is achieved through a variety of exercises or practices, yoga of which is the most popular. Somatic practices, like yoga, help students understand these mind-body connections and help to reduce stress and anxiety. They also get the opportunity to slow down and learn the importance of their breath in the regulation of their emotions, helping enhance their social-emotional well-being.
